
This years annual $1000 added September 28th point race at the Phil Gardenhire Arena in Poteau, Oklahoma will be the A-OK Gayla Milam Tribute Race. This will be a huge event with door prizes and all kinds of surprises so make plans now to attend! More information will be available closer to the date.

Longtime A-OK member Gayla Milam of Charleston, AR is honored in the above tribute created by an A-Ok member and longtime friend of Gayla's. Gayla has always put others before herself and respected others feelings and we should all try our best to follow in her footsteps! Gayla has been in the rodeo and barrel racing field for many years and is loved by all and will be deeply missed. A-Ok member BreAnn Sprabery of Poteau, Oklahoma won 1st place in the 4-D Youth division at the Drysdales Super Show this past weekend in Tulsa. She was given a National Champion belt buckle, a check and a wildcard entry to the World Show. We are super proud of Bre and her faithful partner Cutter!!!


2008 Coal Hill BBR 12 week series starts Wednesday night April 30th and goes through August 13th pending any more rain-outs. Exhibitions start at 7:00 and the class at 8:00. Contestants wishing to run for the Top 3 series awards at the end of 12 weeks must have completed a minimum of 6 works. We cannot put these jackpots on without barrel workers! The works from the Coal Hill series are completely separate and do NOT count towards the A-Ok Sunday works.

The next A-OK scheduled point race will be Sunday, July 13th at the Hodgen Arena in Hodgen, Oklahoma. Exhibitions start at 12:00 and the classes start at 2:00. There will be concessions available but bring your lawn chairs. This race is BBR approved!

A-OK CELEBRATING 20 YEARS!!!!!
Expect this season to be FULL of fun and surprises as we celebrate A-OK's 20th Anniversary all season long! There's always excitement and fun stuff going on but this season there will be even more! Expect the unexpected and come on out for a season full of great fun in the sun! We've got kid classes, junior classes, novice horse classes, and of course the 4D open class. Whether young or old at heart, we've got a place for everyone so come on out and join us this season! The Horse & Rider of the Month was a big hit last year so we will once again be nominating a member each month from April thru November. That's just one of the things that sets A-OK apart from other associations. If you haven't experienced the new and improved A-OK atmosphere in the past couple of years, you need to come check us out! Cole Adams of Ozark, Arkansas is our new 2008 A-Ok Can-Chasing Sweetheart!

Our annual A-OK Valentines Sweetheart race was held Sunday February 10th at Hurleys Arena in Clarksville. Cole Adams of Ozark, Arkansas was crowned the new 2008 Can-Chasing Sweetheart. Cole and his faithful partner Flag had an awesome run and took the crown away from Larry Baxter of Belleville. Congratulations Cole!!!

2007 Buckle Series Winners
Winners of the 2007 Buckle Series are: (left to right) 4D-Amanda Fox of Ratcliff, 3D-Sue Baxter of Belleville, 2D-Annalee White of Clarksville and 1D-Kim Griffin of Coal Hill. This 12 week series was held at the Coal Hill Arena in Coal Hill , Arkansas with the exception of the finals which was held at Swaim's Double S Sports Arena in Ozark. Johnson County Streakin' Chicks place in 2nd Annual Team Battle of the Counties

The 2nd Annual team Battle of the Counties was held Saturday, September 15th in Johnson County at Hurley's Arena in Clarksville, Arkansas. 12 teams from all over the state competed in this 3D event with Conway County winning the 1D, Yell County winning the 2D and Johnson County winning the 3D. Each of the Johnson County girls received a trophy buckle and $100 cash. These were the first barrel racing buckles that Alex and Tiffany have ever received so CONGRATULATIONS girls!!! Rocky Acres Ranch Equine Designs also of Clarksville was their t-shirt sponsor and graphics designer. Congratulations to each of you for a great job!!!
