Sunday Works Completed as of 6/29/2008

To be eligible for year end awards, EACH member MUST WORK A MINIMUM OF EIGHT different jackpots or exhibition classes. Members must sign the WORKS SHEET in order to receive credit for works. We will have work sheets at the sign-up table at every race. DO NOT rely on someone else to sign you up!!!!  It is your responsibility to make sure your name is on the worksheet!  Four works will be credited to anyone who gets an arena completely ready for a jackpot. This consists of setting up the timers, setting up the PA system, watering the arena (if needed), and hanging sponsor banners. Sharing of accumulated works between participants is NOT allowed with the exception of tractor drivers. Anyone (experienced tractor drivers ONLY) wishing to drive the tractor in order to receive work credit issued to their spouse or child may do so.  Also, any member who gets a saddle sponsor for any of the classes can count this towards their works.  Please see any of the current officers or Board Members for more information on saddle sponsorships.  We will need workers at every race for the following:

It has been in past rules that you can only work 1 time per event but we do reserve the right to NEVER turn workers down.  If there is an empty space on the WorkSheet by the time the classes start, a member may double up on their works if no one else is willing to work.  There are plenty of works to go around and there is always plenty to do to help so we will not at any time turn workers down for this reason.

Please Note:  There was a lot of concern in 2007 that there were not enough works to go around for everyone to get theirs in by the end of the season.  We ended up adding a lot more works for this reason and by the end of the season, we had NO workers.  This year we have gone back to the original A-Ok Works with the exception of adding the Alleyway Directors which is a much needed addition.  This position entails keeping the alleyway clear and safe for the next runner whether it be exhibitions or during the classes.  The alleyway directors will be provided with a list of the entries to be able to help us keep things going smoothly and at an even pace.  A lot of times in the indoor arenas, it is hard to hear when you are outside....this will take care of that problem as your alleyway directors will have the same list of entrants as we have up in the announcers stand.  If you have any questions, please get with any of the Officers or Board Members.

The classes most always run as follows:  Youth, Juniors, Open and Novice.  However....we do reserve the right to run the Novice Class before the Open in the event of a large $1000 added event where there are 150 entrants in the Open and only a few in the Novice.  This will not happen any other time except at an extremely large event and only at the Officers discretion.
